Hong Kong (Part 2)

Hello everyone!
Here's part 2 of my Hong Kong trip! Part 1 is right below this post so do check it out first if you haven't already~

3rd day in Hong Kong:
We woke up and had a fantastic dim sum lunch at Langham Place Mall *drools*

Face of the day??? Haha just using that as an excuse to put 2 gigantic pictures of myself up! Hehe, I was wearing bright orange lip stick on that day but you can't really see cause I edited the picture.

Went to Shum Shui Po to shop around but we didn't buy anything...

Really beautiful. I love the streets of Hong Kong.

We were pretty tired so we went to get some tea.

After tea, my whole family was ready to go back to the hotel room for a nap EXCEPT FOR ME. I refused. I wanted to go to the HUGE Sasa opposite our hotel. So my mum and sister (bless them) agreed to accompany me :)

1 floor of neoprint machines! I wish all my camwhore buddies were there with me!

I didn't buy much from Sasa. Just got some EOS lip balms (the honeydew one is sooooooo tasty), hello kitty face wash (hehe mega cute), Dollywink eyeliner and some other skincare stuff.

Now we were really drained and so we all went back to sleep.

ZzzZzzzZzzz...

At around 7:30pm, we got dressed and headed out for dinner. Lei Garden! There's one in Singapore but this is THE ORIGINAL. I loved the one in Singapore so much already (located in the building next to 313 Somerset) so I was expecting a some awesome-ness from this one in Hong Kong and sure enough, I wasn't disappointed.

SGD$100+ fish.... We licked the plate clean.

Best clay pot rice I've ever eaten!

After dinner, we walked around the streets and saw a gong cha store!
There's absolutely NO QUEUE. They just push their way through the crowd to order. Insanity.

We headed over to the Ladies' Night Market.

Me posing with some ridiculous dinosaur bag... :3

Then we went to the hotel's Japanese bar.

Check out all the liquors behind me. The bottles were so pretty. FYI, I drank Coke.

Finally, it was time to return back to Singapore. We got up early on Sunday morning and cabbed down to the airport.

Yes this was our sinful last meal in Hong Kong.

Random side note: I'm terrified of airplanes plus I have vertigo. "Whoopee"....

I'm obsessed with Hunger Games btw ;)

So Hong Kong was amazing. I miss it so much. I miss the carefree lifestyle but yeah yeah it's time to get back to reality.

Goodnight

Hong Kong (Part 1)

Hello hello everyone!
Yes yes I'm finally back! And if you are like "From where?" Then you obviously don't follow me on twitter.. Please do? Hehe @mirandamikaela

So I left for Hong Kong last Thursday and I stayed there for 4 days! It was amazing! I shopped and ate all day long!

I stayed in the hotel called Langham Place in Mongkok. It's a pretty nice hotel and it's linked directly to the Langham Place Mall (if you don't know what it is, IT'S A HUGE H U G E super mall..) so plus points for shopoholics and food fanatics like me!!

Our rooms weren't ready when we arrive so we went to grab some lunch.

First meal in Hong Kong:
*salivates* look at that char siew and sio ba (?) aka roasted pork!!!!!!

Then my mum and I went shopping in Langham Mall... Initially, we didn't buy anything because Monki and H&M were way too crowded to enter. Btw, I saw that H&M still had a ton of Marni x H&M clothing which I thought was really funny. People, here in Singapore, are queueing overnight and there it was, lying untouched on some clothes rack.

I was really upset so we went to get some good dinner..
CRAB PORRIDGE! With a whole freaking crab inside it! Yummzaayyyyy~!

Then we had to go back to the hotel room to deliver food to my sister who was unwilling to go shopping with us. I was really bored sitting around the hotel room so I begged my mom if we could go and shop even more, hoping that the queue at Monki would have subsided. AND SHE AGREED. Felt like #luckiestgirlintheword. Yes, I know this isn't twitter hehe but #justsayin

So we went to i.t. and I saw these absolutely gorgeous shoes. I turned to my mom and told her we needed to get them and we did. I was surprised that she really bought them.

Pair #1: Jeffrey Campbells! OMG! Haha it's my first pair ever~

Pair #2: I loved these even though the brand isn't really well known.. In fact, I forgot the brand name but it's pretty. I really love the workmanship.

So I slept happily on the first night~

The next day, we headed to SCAD aka Savannah College of Arts and Design aka my future university!

The school use to be a magistrate building so the interior is really WOW and cool.

First camwhoring picture of me for this post.. hehe hi there

We got a private tour of the whole campus. There were no students because it's currently their spring break :(

The grills were there because they were afraid students would escape! Kidding! Remember how I said it use to be a magistrate building? Yeah, that's why!

Me fooling around while waiting for our cab to take us to the residential area of the uni

THIS DOESN'T LOOK LIKE A SCHOOL AT ALL.. IT LOOKS LIKE A RESORT!!

The sad thing was that the rooms were pretty tiny. The one below in the picture is already the master bed room! But then again, the houses in Hong Kong are not cheap~ So....
Hehe hello again. Wearing a windbreaker I got from Monki. Isn't it cute? I thought it looked really aunty in the beginning but it started to grow on me.

Later at night, we went to the Ladies' Night Market which was PACKED. So I didn't get any pictures cause people were jostling me.

Buying some street food. Yummy...

When we got back I just hit the hay. Oh I bought a bowler hat. It's the header image of my blog now so I won't post it again.

This shall be the end of part 1!~ Will blog again tomorrow about the other two days!

xoxo Miranda
