Forget love... I'd rather fall in chocolate: Singapore Blog Awards 2012

Hey there jelly mushrooms (Urm, ew?? Haha!)

GUESS WHAT GUYS?!?!!

Well, recently I was selected as a finalist in the Singapore Blog Awards 2012!

So you may ask me,

"Miranda, how do you feel about receiving this prestigious recognition?"

SPAZZINGG!!!!

"HOW IT ALL STARTED??"

This takes me back to 2009 when I uploaded my first video showing scrawny me.

This video was just an experiment using chromakey (aka the oh-so-famous 'green screen effect'). Back then, I hadn't started vocal training yet, so don't judge me, hehe!

A question I always get is,

"Why do you upload videos?"

To entertain? :)

Many of my friends are always in awe with all the ridiculous things I do on my channel/blog.

For example:

Who remembers "Hobby the Hobo"? (Yes, he has a name) This video is by-far the most embarrassing video I've ever uploaded. Initially, I was reluctant to put it up on YouTube where it would be so easily accessible, but over time, I learnt to just laugh at myself and have fun!

To this day, over 17,050 people have seen hobo me.

Scary.... haha!

This video received the most views & comments!! Although it was uploaded more than a year ago, I still get people eyeing me on the street and saying "HEY, isn't that the Xiaxue girl?"

And to this day, over 113,550 people have seen me as Xiaxue.

EVEN SCARIER!!!

Another common question,

"Miranda, where do you get your inspiration from?"

I get inspired by every precious moment in life. When I wake up, I look out my window.. At the golden yellow rays of sunlight oozing across the sapphire sky. I get inspired by the colourful birds singing harmoniously in the rich green trees as I stroll down the cobblestone pavement...

*gazes dramatically into the abyss*

I am one of the lucky 10 who got into the finals for Singapore Blog Awards 2012: The Vlog Category.

When I saw the other nominees, I was like:

I'm so honoured to be placed in the same league as them!!!

I think they are all great contributors to the cyber world! Watch out world! Singapore's coming~!

"How do you think you will fare compared to them?"

All the nominees are very dedicated and entertaining in their own rights. I think it'll be a close fight!

As long as I enjoy doing what I'm doing and I do not offend anyone in the process. I think all is well :)
