Yesterday I was invited to attend the media conference of SHINE!
I was really excited to go as I have performed many times over the past few years at Singapore Street Festival (which is under SHINE) and even at the Opening of SHINE 2011 along side local celebrities like Derrick Hoh (<< so good-looking *melts*)!
For all those people who are like..
"Wait, what is SHINE?"
"You mean the Kpop band - SHINEE!"
NOOOOO!!
I'm talking about SHINE Youth Festival!
SHINE Youth Festival is a festival that features an exciting line up of events & activities! Held in the Youth Month of July, the festival is a platform for youths between the ages of 15 to 35 to pursue their interests, and showcase their talents!
And the best part...???
ALL THE EVENTS ARE FREE OF CHARGE!
(all Singaporeans favourite words)
I'll be highlighting a few of my favourite events that will be occurring this year later on! (omg so excited wahahah!!!) But for now.....
So, what's so special about this year's SHINE Youth Festival?
♥ 'Pledge to SHINE' ♥
Pledge to SHINE was established to inspire and enable socials movements amongst the youth today, spurring them to find unique and creative ways to have a positive impact in today's society.
*scratches head*

The theme of this year's SHINE Youth Festival is
'Aspirations'!
Dear wonderful readers, the SHINE Youth Festival committee & the National Youth Council have heard us! This year, they are launching..
♥ 'Pitch to SHINE' ♥
This is actually a campaign that identifies and funds youth projects that promote worthy causes and that can make a difference in the community!

'Pitch to SHINE' allows talented youth to finally be able to showcase their talents! Do what you love & help a good cause!
How do you apply for 'Pitch to SHINE'?
You have to prepare a proposal~

The media conference took place in the *Scape Warehouse! The interior design was amazing! I love those cute furry little chairs! SO COMFY!
It started off with an awesome retro performance by 'John and Deniece Glee Studios'!

After the event, the bloggers headed out to get some noms at Cineleisure! Then Damien, Regine and I went shopping! Bought a couple of stuff and ate so much food! *satisfied*
