Lipton has recently launched 7 new teas as part of their new Lipton Pyramid Tea range!

Yesterday I was invited to the 'Summer High Tea with Lipton' at Au Jardin, Botanic Gardens.

Many of you know 'Lipton' as the famous tea brand with the yellow label. As I mention 'Lipton' you reminisce of how you sat by your parents at the dining table, and watched them dip their tea bag into a cup of boiling water.

About Lipton
Lipton is one of the world's greatest refreshment brands with a commanding presence in the global beverages market with tea-based drinks including leaf tea, infusions, ready-to-drink tea and other healthy alternatives to soft drink!

Did you know drinking tea can help you lose weight?
*Provided it is without milk and sugar

This event was in collaboration with 'Cold Storage'. The lovely people at Cold Storage have provided Lipton with interesting combinations for tea pairing! (You'll see what I mean from the pictures!)

When I arrived at Au Jardin (beautiful place, great scenery), there was a reception where we could try all new 7 teas with an interesting pairing hand-picked by the Lipton folk!

First up, Russian Earl Grey!

A fusion of big tea leaves with blue petals, orange and lemon peels which gives a rich, refreshing taste.

Food Pairing Ideas
Perfect for breakfast! With bread, tarts, biscuits or scones

We were provided with Caramelized biscuits. These are one of my favourite biscuits! I would have never thought of drinking tea while eating them but I was truly surprised by the interesting burst of flavour and how the tastes of either weren't too over-powering.

Next, Mild Ceylon!

Enjoy the rich aromatic tea leaves of Ceylon (Sri Lanka) grown on hilly areas, delivering stong and rich flavour in a frame of soft taste.

Food Pairing Ideas
Ideal for drinking all day long. A delightful treat with ice-cream, especially vanilla!

Next up, Asian White!

Food Pairing Ideas
For Meats & Chocolates! Wonderful with turkeychickenpork and fish. Round off your chocolate dessert as this tea smoothens out the burst of sensations in your mouth.

I never thought tea could be paired with meat. I always thought tea would be with tarts and cakes! This really opened my eyes to the different possibilities out there!

Following up, Forest Fruit!

An exquisite tea from Assam region in North-East India with strong and rich tea taste and light malt flavour, best with milk and sugar.

Food Pairing Ideas
For your Cheese Platter. Perfect as breakfast tea and goes well with cheese and crackers!

You would think that the cheese taste would be too strong and over-power the tea right? Wrong. It blends together and works so well! I'm in love with this combination!

After the brief reception, we all headed into this beautiful dining room.

I love how the scone wasn't just some normal scone. It had a beautiful aroma of the Earl Grey tea leaves! Yummy!!

Paired with Lipton Pyramid Blue Fruit Tea!
Yummy salad with finger limes, sea asparagus and ponzu air (the bubby thing)! I don't usually eat salad and I licked my plate clean. That's saying something! Also, the fruit tea had an amazing blend with the saltiness of the fish.

Ok, to be honest, when I sipped the tea alone, I didn't like it. I thought the scent was too strong! However, after drinking the tea along with this dark chocolate dessert. I'm in heaven. It was so good, I'm surprised!

Overall, I had a great time at the Lipton x Cold Storage event! Great food! Great company! I'm extremely thankful of omy.sg for giving me the privilege to attend this fantastic event!

I was also given an adorable goody bag!
